Christmas Spanish Games for Kids You Can Easily Use at Home
These Christmas Spanish games for kids are easy to use with minimal prep and
1. I Spy
In this video, your kids can play I Spy with me while practicing Christmas words and the phrase ¿Dónde está? – Where is it?

2. Scavenger Hunt
Grab the printable and use this around your house, at community holiday activities (like tree lightings), or while driving around town. Click this link for the PDF with more detailed instructions.
3. Bingo
For kids starting to learn Spanish, Bingo is a fun way to practice vocabulary.
Click the link for the PDF with instructions and a list of Christmas words in Spanish and English. I’ve included a pronunciation video as well. Kids can make Bingo boards with either the English written in each box or make one with pictures of the items.
While they make their Bingo boards, cut the words from the list and put them in a bowl. Then you can call out the Spanish words/phrases for kids to find the pictures or English translations.
Bingo Instructions
Materials Needed:
- A piece of paper for each child with a blank 5×5 grid to make a bingo board
- List of Christmas vocabulary words in this PDF
- Crayons, markers, or pencils to draw pictures or write words
- Small markers or tokens (buttons, coins, or pieces of candy work great!) for covering spaces during the game
Set Up:
Have your kids make their own Bingo board. Have them:
- look at the Christmas vocabulary list. Choose 24 words or pictures to add to their boards. (Leave the middle square blank—it’s the free space!)
- write the English translation or draw a picture that matches the word in 24 of the squares.
- mix up where they put the English words or pictures to make their boarsd unique.
- write “¡gratis!” (free!) in the middle box for the free space.
- While your kids are creating their Bingo boards, cut up the words from the list and place them in a bowl.
How to Play:
- Take a one of the vocabulary words from the bowl and say it in Spanish a couple of times.
- Your kids need to listen carefully and look at their board to see if they have the English translation or a matching picture.
- If you do, cover the square with a marker or token.
- Repeat steps 1 – 3 until someone has 5 in a row (up/down, across, or diagonal).
How to Win:
When someone has 5 in a row, they yell “Bingo!” to win the round.

Tips:
- Practice Pronunciation: When a word is called, repeat it in Spanish to help kids learn. Encourage – but don’t force – kids to practice saying it too.
- Creative Challenge: Let kids decorate their bingo boards with festive colors and Christmas designs.

How to Use these Words Every Day
To naturally add Spanish to your daily life year round, you can use ¿Dónde está? to ask your kids where things are. You don’t need to know the Spanish word for the items. You can just say it in English.
If your kids are like mine, you’ll be able to say this every.single.day. 😂
You can also add Spanish to your conversation this holiday season. Just use Spanish words instead of English in conversation.
For example, you can say galletas instead of cookies and Papá Noel instead of Santa when talking about making cookies for Santa.
