¡Hola! I’m so excited you are here! 🎉 You might be wondering where to begin. Below is some information about which lesson to start with and how to find activities to teach your kids Spanish.
My site is more than just tips to teach Spanish. My lessons build on each other so it’s best to do them in order. All together, my lessons are basically a curriculum like what I would teach in Spanish 1 and Spanish 2. But this curriculum is for kids!
My lessons are a path to take kids from not speaking Spanish to being able to speak Spanish well enough to have conversations with Spanish-speakers about every day topics.
If your kids already know some Spanish like the alphabet, colors, numbers, and body parts, you can check out the activities that I have created with this lesson that starts teaching verbs.
If your kids haven’t learned any Spanish yet, I suggest starting with my first lesson to learn some basics.
If this sounds a little overwhelming and you’re not sure where to start, check out my free Spanish for Kids Starter Guide! You can immediately use any of the 9 simple tips to introduce your kids to Spanish. Know what the best part is? You don’t have to know Spanish to use it!
From whichever post you start at, you can go to the next lesson by clicking on the button that says “Next Post” located at the end of each post. You can also find lessons under the “Spanish Lessons for Kids” tab.
I have included a schedule with suggestions on what to do and how many days. I wrote 5 days in the schedule, but don’t feel like you have to stick with that. I’m finding on some lessons, we take more like 8 to 10 days to complete the lesson because I break up the activities and do them over several days (instead of just one day).
I started a YouTube channel with videos for listening practice that go with my lesson’s printables too. If you don’t know Spanish (yet!), then make sure to check these out because listening is the first step to learning language!
I can’t wait to hear about your progress!
